The beginnings...
Endhardt Vineyards began in 2018 when Hannes and Sarah Endhardt purchased 46 acres of idyllic land near Lincoln, Virginia with the dream of building a farm winery.
We wanted to create a place where we could produce high quality Virginia wines and provide an incredible atmosphere to enjoy time with friends and family.
Creating the vineyard
The land was relatively untouched when purchased, so our first years were spent clearing the land and planting our vines - as well as building our tasting room and production facility! Today we have ~11 acres under vine and have 7 varietals of grapes planted on the property, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. We just added a new block of Gruner Veltliner in Spring 2023 and a block of Malbec in Spring 25 ... which we can't wait to serve!
Building our facilities
Construction on our barn began in late 2019 and finished in Summer 2020. We then built out our upper-level tasting room and patio (with a modern-rustic feel), and began the process of setting up our wine production facility. We opened our tasting room for the public on Labor Day weekend in 2021. In 2025 we added a pergola over the deck. And we have recently started construction on a new production building and are hoping to use it for the 2026 harvest.
Our first harvest...
Fall 2021 marked our first harvest on our estate. It is hard to believe that we are now heading into our 8th growing season and fall 2026 will be our 6th harvest.
